Described by critics as "masterful" and "evocative," flutist Christine
Erlander Beard is constantly in demand as a soloist, chamber artist, and
clinician. Quickly achieving international recognition as a performer
and advocate for the piccolo, she has performed extensively across the
U.S. and Europe. including nine of the previous eleven conventions of the
National Flute Association (2002-2012); the
2011 European Piccolo Festival in Slovenia; the 2010 International
Flute Festival in France; and two British Flute Society
International Conventions (2008, 2012). Her flute festival appearances
include St. Louis, Philadelphia, Alabama, Iowa, Vermont, Hot Springs
(AR), and Emporia State University. Upcoming engagements include invitations to appear as a guest artist at both the International
Flute Festival in Costa Rica (2013) and the Canadian Flute Convention (2013).
